December, 2008 LOAN AGREEMENT WITH EBRD
On the 2nd of December 2008 was signed loan agreement of amount of 8 mln US dollars between European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (hereinafter “EBRD”) and “ACBA Leasing” Credit Organization Closed Joint-Stock Company (hereinafter “ACBA Leasing”). Involving of mentioned amount gives new opportunities to ACBA Leasing to enlarge the frames of its activity and implement its main destination, i.e. financing of development of Armenia’s economy.
Signing of present agreement with EBRD and the fact that this project is the first experience of EBRD of financing a leasing company in Armenia, obviously indicates on ACBA Leasing’s accumulated experience during years, given best quality leasing services and the rate of company as in internal, as in external markets.
“ACBA Leasing” Credit Organization Closed Joint-Stock Company was founded in 2003. At present, the main shareholders of the company are ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, as well as Credit-Agricole Leasing, which belongs to the big banking group of Credit Agricole S.A. During that period of time ACBA Leasing has gained significant experience in cooperation with international financial institutions.
European Bank of Reconstruction and Development cooperates with commercial banks and credit organizations of Armenia, implementing investments in the sphere of financing of small and medium enterprises. So, the cooperation with EBRD will give ACBA Leasing opportunity to make investments in different sectors of the economy, confirming more, its status of leading leasing company in modern armenian market.
